The 21st edition of the Panflute Day of Delft will be organised on the 14 June 2008, between 12.00 and 16.30, at the Immanuel Church in Schoemaekerstraat 1, Delft. As usual, the Dutch Panflute Foundation is behind this event. More news >> The panflute is one of the finest and oldest musical instruments in the world. It is difficult to say when, where and in which form the pan flute first appeared, because there is little material evidence. I think the pan flute is so old because it is so simple. The pan flute today however, is no longer seen as a primitive instrument to be used exclusively in folkloristic music. I am convinced that in the future it will become one of the most widely used musical instruments. The increasing interest in the panflute and the success of my "New Method for Panpipes" and many other music books has made me decide to organize more activities with the principal aim to promote the panflute. Costel Puscoiu panflutes are unique instruments, made by brilliant panflute builders (like Ion Preda) and fine tuned by the composer and panflute teacher Costel Puscoiu. Please enjoy my site.
